WALTHAM — A Boston man was arrested Tuesday after Waltham Police and the Suburban Middlesex County Drug Task Force conducted a drug raid at 881 Moody Street, resulting in the seizure of drugs and a firearm.
The 34-year-old suspect was taken into custody around 5 p.m. as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
Upon searching the individual and his vehicle, officers uncovered over 32 grams of substances believed to be cocaine and crack cocaine, more than 5 grams of a substance thought to be methamphetamine, drug distribution paraphernalia, and a loaded .380 caliber Ruger semi-automatic handgun.
The man faces multiple charges, including cocaine trafficking, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and several firearms-related offenses, such as carrying a loaded firearm without a license and possession of ammunition without an FID card.
His arrest marks another effort by local authorities to combat drug-related crimes in the area.
The suspect’s name has not been released, pending the ongoing investigation.
