East Hampton police make multiple arrests, issue summons and tickets over the week

EAST HAMPTON — East Hampton Police Department has reported multiple arrests and citations in the first week of June, including charges for violation of a protective order and multiple failures to appear in court.

On June 4, Christopher Lyford, 50, of East Hampton, was arrested on charges including violation of a protective order, disorderly conduct, and interfering with an officer/resisting arrest.

Lyford was unable to post the $10,000 cash or surety bond and was held until his arraignment on June 5 at 9 a.m. at the Middletown Superior Court.

In a separate incident on the same day, Jeffrey Green, 49, also of East Hampton, was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and for operating an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle.

Green is scheduled to appear in court on June 12 at 9 a.m.

On June 6, John R. Forbes IV, 37, of Colchester, was taken into custody on five separate warrants.

Forbes faced three counts of failure to appear in the first degree and two counts of failure to appear in the second degree.

He was unable to post the aggregated $400,000 bonds set by the court and remained in custody until his arraignment on June 7 at 9 a.m.

Additionally, on June 7, Janice Cameron, 62, of Rockfall, was issued a ticket for failure to obey a traffic control signal.

Between June 3 and June 9, East Hampton Police responded to 15 medical calls, five motor vehicle accidents, five alarm calls, and made 53 traffic stops.
