ATHOL — A 16-year-old girl reported missing since June 7 has been found, Athol Police Department announced late Monday afternoon.
Nialeshka Brito Jimenez had been missing for three days before authorities confirmed her safe return at 3:28 p.m. Police thanked the community for their assistance in sharing information during the search.
Details surrounding her disappearance and how she was located have not been released.
Athol Police had earlier urged anyone with information to call the station and speak with Officer Call.
The department has not provided further information following the update on Nialeshka’s status.
Community members who had been on the lookout expressed relief upon hearing the news of her safe return.
