Providence arrests lead to multiple charges for drug possession, assault, and larceny

PROVIDENCE — A series of arrests by the ACI Investigations Unit has resulted in various charges including drug possession, simple assault, and being a fugitive from justice.

The arrests were made on June 5 and June 7 following thorough investigations by the unit.

On June 5, Johan Gonzalez, 32, was charged with possession of a controlled substance after an investigation by both the ACI Investigations Unit and the ACI Special Investigations Unit.

Gonzalez, previously residing at 137 Camden Avenue in Providence, was arraigned at Third District Court and subsequently released to the Sheriffs Department.

The same day, Elton Vieira, 25, from 106 Spring Street, Apartment #3L in Pawtucket, faced charges as a fugitive from justice from Massachusetts.

His arrest was the outcome of a collaboration between the ACI Investigations Unit and the ACI Records and Identification Unit.

Vieira was also arraigned at Third District Court before being placed in the custody of the Sheriffs Department.

Additionally, Darron Butler, 37, of 9 Geneva Street in Providence, was charged with simple assault and battery.

Following his arraignment at Third District Court, Butler, too, was turned over to the Sheriffs Department.

Brandon D. Dolivramento, 33, residing at 28 Clay Street, Apartment #4 in Central Falls, was charged with possession of Schedule I-V controlled substances.

Dolivramento’s arrest came after similar investigative efforts and resulted in his arraignment at Third District Court, where he was released to the Sheriffs Department.

On June 7, the Gaming Enforcement Unit charged 18-year-old Austin S. Pereira with larceny over $10,000, possession of a stolen motor vehicle on the first offense, and conspiracy.

Pereira, from 308 Columbus Avenue in Pawtucket, was detained by the East Providence Police Department and the Uniform Division on June 6 and held at the East Providence Police Department.

During his arraignment at 6th District Court before Judge Melissa Dubose, Pereira was released on $5,000 personal recognizance and held as a bail violator.
