COLCHESTER — A two-vehicle crash on I-89 south near mile marker 94 led to traffic delays early Tuesday morning as authorities responded to the scene.
At 8:07 a.m., Vermont State Police troopers from the Williston Barracks were called to the area after reports of a collision involving two vehicles.
According to the investigation, 19-year-old Anthony Andrews of Fairfield was following too closely in congested traffic when he rear-ended a Jeep Cherokee driven by 30-year-old Dominique Duran of St Albans.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the incident and did not sustain injuries.
Andrews’ 2013 Subaru Impreza incurred moderate damage to the front end, while Duran’s 2015 Jeep Cherokee suffered minor damage to the rear.
The interstate was reduced to one lane temporarily as Central Service Towing worked to remove Andrews’ vehicle from the roadway.
