TEWKSBURY — Tewksbury Police Department reported that 92-year-old Robert Higgins, who had been missing earlier today, has been found safe.
Higgins, who suffers from cognitive impairment, had last been seen driving his 1998 black Chevy Lumina sedan with Massachusetts license plate 8327NN.
Concerns were heightened after he missed an appointment and did not return home.
Authorities issued a Silver Alert and urged the public to be on the lookout for Higgins.
Traffic cameras captured his vehicle in Billerica at 12:37 p.m., but his whereabouts were unknown for several hours.
The Tewksbury Police Department had requested that anyone with information or who observed the vehicle to call them at 978-851-7373.
