NORTH BRANFORD — A man was found semi-responsive and severely injured early Monday morning, leading authorities to suspect he may have been struck by a hit-and-run driver.
North Branford Police and Fire Departments responded at 5:11 a.m. to a report of a man lying in the grass off the roadway near 189 Forest Road.
Upon arrival, they discovered the victim with significant injuries consistent with being hit by a vehicle.
The unidentified male was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The extent of his injuries and his current condition have not been disclosed.
Police are now seeking assistance from the public.
