EXETER — Following a traffic stop on Route 95 North, a 33-year-old New Shoreham man was arrested Tuesday afternoon on multiple charges, including the possession of substance with toxic vapors and driving under the influence, according to Rhode Island State Police.
John C. Leone was taken into custody at 2:37 p.m. after a motor vehicle stop conducted by Troopers from the Hope Valley Barracks.
Leone faces charges of sale, possession or use of substance with toxic vapors; driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs with an unknown blood alcohol content for the first offense; and refusal to submit to a chemical test for the second offense.
After the arrest, Leone was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks for processing.
He was held overnight and is scheduled for arraignment the following morning.
