READING — A Boxford woman was arrested and charged with operating under the influence following a collision with a parked vehicle, the Reading Police Department reported.

Sarah Ladd, 45, faces charges of operating under the influence (liquor) and negligent operation of a motor vehicle after police responded to reports of a crash on Cross Street at around 12:31 a.m. on Saturday, May 25.

Officers arriving at the scene found a black Mercedes with significant front-end damage facing eastbound on Cross Street, and a black Volvo, which was unoccupied at the time, parked on the side of the road facing westbound.

There were no reported injuries from the incident.

The preliminary investigation suggests that the Mercedes struck the Volvo head-on before spinning out.

Reading Police conducted a field sobriety test on Ladd, who was identified as the driver of the Mercedes.

She was arrested without incident and arraigned in Woburn District Court on Tuesday.
