COLCHESTER — A 31-year-old man was hospitalized with a gunshot wound after a shooting in Colchester on May 26.
At around 4:09 p.m., Colchester Police Department officers responded to a call at Sharrow Circle.
The victim was found with a gunshot injury to the chest and immediately transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition.
Authorities have not yet identified any suspects, but they assure there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The Colchester Police Department received support from Colchester Rescue, Burlington Police Department, Winooski Police Department, Essex Police Department, Vermont Warden Service, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives during their initial response.
The police are seeking assistance from anyone who might have information related to the incident.
