BOSTON — A Dorchester man was arrested Thursday evening on charges of trafficking cocaine and fentanyl in the Roxbury neighborhood, the Boston Police Department reported.
At about 5:27 p.m., members of the Drug Control Unit of District B-2 observed suspicious activity believed to be a drug transaction involving a male individual and a vehicle near 16 Harrow Street.
The area has been under surveillance due to community complaints about ongoing drug activity.
Wellington Guzman, 25, was apprehended after officers conducted a traffic stop in the vicinity of 141 Pleasant Street.
Guzman struggled briefly during a pat frisk but was subsequently handcuffed.
Police recovered a substantial amount of drugs, including 31 grams of crack cocaine, 5 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of fentanyl, and $876 in cash from Guzman’s possession.
Following the arrest, Guzman faces charges of trafficking class A and B substances.
His arraignment is scheduled to take place at Roxbury District Court.
