WORCESTER — The Worcester Police Department announced that 76-year-old Jorge Matos, who was reported missing earlier, has been found and is safe.
The police had sought the public’s help in locating Matos after he left his home on Houghton Street around 5:30 p.m. and was believed to be confused.
Authorities expressed concern because Matos had previously walked to the area of 631 Main St.
Matos was last seen wearing a black shirt and tan pants.
The Worcester Police Department had urged anyone with information about his whereabouts to call 911 or 508-799-8606.
The department thanked the community for their assistance in the search for Mr. Matos.
Details on where and how he was found were not immediately released.
