HILLSBORO — A juvenile bicyclist was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident early this morning on Bible Hill Road, according to the Hillsboro Police Department.
The collision occurred just after 7 a.m. near the overpass.
The young cyclist sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was attended to by emergency services.
Authorities report that the vehicle involved in the accident fled the scene, heading in the direction of West Main Street.
The Hillsboro Police Department is actively seeking the public’s assistance in locating the suspect vehicle and driver.
Investigators are appealing to witnesses or anyone with information about the accident, especially those who might have seen the juvenile on their bicycle prior to the incident, to come forward.
