HYANNIS — A motor vehicle collision in the 500 Block of Main Street has prompted the Barnstable Police Department to close the roadway at the intersection of High School Road on Tuesday morning.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident and have not released the number of vehicles involved or the extent of any injuries.
Emergency crews are on the scene treating patients and working to clear the debris.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes until further notice.
