Isle La Motte man cited for stalking Alburgh resident

ALBURGH — A local man has been accused of stalking after a GPS tracking device was found on another person’s vehicle, Vermont State Police reported.

Authorities received a complaint from Jeremiah Nichols, 33, of Alburgh, at approximately 5:23 p.m. on April 11, stating he had discovered a GPS tracker on his vehicle while it was being serviced.

Following the discovery, the Vermont State Police requested a subpoena for the GPS Tracking Company to release the owner’s information of the suspicious device.

The tracking company complied, revealing that the device was registered to Paul Adam, 53, of Isle La Motte.

Police subsequently located Adam and issued him a citation to appear in the Grand Isle County Court on June 27 at 8:30 a.m. to face the stalking charge.
