WEST SPRINGFIELD — The West Springfield Police Department is seeking assistance from the public to identify a woman involved in a shoplifting incident on May 7 at a business on Riverdale Street.
According to authorities, the incident, under case number 24-8582-OF, took place around 5 p.m. when the unidentified female suspect reportedly selected several power tools, placed them in a shopping cart, and exited the store without rendering payment.
Upon being confronted, the suspect fled on foot through the parking lot, carrying as many tools as possible, before reaching an awaiting vehicle that served as her escape.
The West Springfield Police Department has requested that anyone with information regarding the identity of the woman contact Detective Latino at (413) 263-3210 ext. 244.
Tipsters who prefer to stay anonymous may do so.
