HULL — Chief John Dunn announced the arrest of a 69-year-old man on multiple child pornography charges yesterday, following a collaborative investigation with the United States Secret Service New England Cyber Fraud Task Force.
James Tucker, of Hull, faces charges including possession of child pornography, dissemination of child pornography, and photographing an unsuspecting nude person.
A search warrant was executed at Tucker’s home at 10 Driftway Ave. around 6 a.m. on May 7.
Upon arrival, officers found the residence empty but proceeded with the search, seizing hard drives, thumb drives, and other items as evidence.
Later that day, at noon, Hull Police reached Tucker by phone and informed him of the search.
Tucker, found to be in Florida, indicated he would return to Massachusetts on Tuesday, May 14.
In a coordinated effort, Hull Police, Massachusetts State Police detectives, members of the United States Secret Service New England Cyber Fraud Task Force, and the Plymouth County Sheriffs Warrant Apprehension Unit, arrested Tucker at Boston Logan International Airport around 4 p.m. yesterday.
Tucker was taken into custody at about 5:40 p.m. after deplaning, without incident, and his cell phone was also seized.
Following his arrest, Tucker was booked at the Hull Police Department and held on $25,040 bail.
He is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday, May 15, at Hingham District Court.
The investigation remains active, conducted by the Hull Police Department and the United States Secret Service New England Cyber Fraud Task Force.
