MILTON — Vermont State Police arrested a 50-year-old Milton woman on suspicion of driving under the influence on Interstate 89, following reports of erratic driving from concerned motorists.
On May 14, at approximately 2:13 p.m., troopers from the VSP Williston barracks were alerted to a vehicle swerving on the northbound lanes of I-89 near Mile Marker 96 in Colchester.
Troopers located the vehicle near Mile Marker 103 in Milton and conducted a traffic stop.
The driver, identified as Emily Salerno, exhibited signs of impairment.
Following a roadside investigation, she was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI.
Salerno was processed at the Williston Barracks and released with a citation.
She is scheduled to appear before the Chittenden County Superior Court to face the DUI charge.
