Traffic stop in Leicester leads to three arrests on narcotics charges

LEICESTER — A motor vehicle stop in Leicester early Sunday morning led to the arrest of three individuals on narcotics possession and distribution charges, according to the Leicester Police Department.

At approximately 2:50 a.m. on April 14, alert officers observed a vehicle operating through the Cherry Valley section of Leicester in violation of Massachusetts motor vehicle safety standards.

The vehicle was stopped, and the operator was cited for the offense.

A short time later, the same vehicle was seen in the center of town leaving an establishment and committing another unrelated motor vehicle violation.

The vehicle was stopped again, and a thorough roadside investigation ensued, including the deployment of K9 Cooney.

As a result, three vehicle occupants were arrested and charged with various narcotics-based offenses:

– Michael Lund, 27, of 21 Lincoln Street, Spencer, was charged with possession with intent to distribute Class B, possession of Class B, and possession of Class A substances.
– Brittany N.

Johnson, 32, of 179 Pleasant Street, Apt. 4, Worcester, was charged with possession with intent to distribute Class B, possession of Class B, and possession of Class A substances.
– Ashley Ramos, 34, of 10 Lamartine Street, Apt. 1, Worcester, was charged with possession with intent to distribute Class B, possession of Class B, and possession of Class A substances.
