WELLS RIVER — A collision involving a pickup truck and an e-bike on Railroad Street in Wells River on May 13 left one person with minor injuries.
The crash occurred around 1:06 p.m. when Christopher Mattoon, 44, of Newbury, was driving his 2018 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound.
Mattoon attempted to turn left into the parking lot of Wells River Chevrolet, colliding with bicyclist Sean McHugh, 58, of North Haverhill, New Hampshire, who was traveling against the flow of traffic.
McHugh sustained minor injuries and was transported to Cottage Hospital.
No injuries were reported for Mattoon, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident.
Road conditions were dry and weather was clear at the time of the crash.
Authorities determined McHugh to be at fault, citing him for violating 13 VSA 1139, which pertains to riding on roadways.
