North Troy market burglarized, police seek information

NORTH TROY — A burglary at the 802 Market and Deli was reported to state police early Saturday, following the discovery of a forced entry into the store.

Troopers from the Derby Barracks were notified at about 6:32 a.m. of the incident, which occurred at 179 Railroad Street.

Employees arriving for work found the rear door had been breached.

Surveillance footage revealed a lone male attempting to break into the market around 12:35 a.m.

A second still image showed the man returning with an accomplice at about 3:55 a.m. Both were then recorded forcibly entering the premises.

Items reported stolen include a carton of Marlboro Light cigarettes, assorted lighters, a variety of soda bottles, Bug Juice, and Natural Light beer.

Authorities have released surveillance images of the suspects and are seeking assistance from the public.
