RICHFORD — The Vermont State Police – St. Albans Barracks responded to a report of an assault on Richard Road on April 26.
Upon arrival, troopers conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of Frankie Laplant, 52, of St. Albans, after he was found to have assaulted a family member, instilling fear for their safety.
The identity of the victim is withheld in accordance with Vermont State Police policy on domestic violence cases.
Laplant was issued a citation and is scheduled to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Franklin County Criminal Division, on May 28 at 8:30 a.m. to respond to the charge of domestic assault.
