ROCHESTER — A box truck driver emerged unscathed after his vehicle overturned on Route 16 this morning.
New Hampshire State Police were called to the scene at 7:48 a.m. on May 10 following reports of a crash in the northbound lanes near mile marker 16.2.
Troopers from Troop A barracks arrived to find the truck, a 2023 International model, blocking traffic after rolling over and landing back on its wheels.
The driver, James Desrosiers, 29, of Concord, reportedly lost control of the vehicle during a sneezing fit, causing the truck to hit a guardrail and swerve across the lanes.
Desrosiers was the sole occupant of the truck and there were no other vehicles involved in the incident.
Following the crash, Desrosiers and his vehicle were placed out of service pending a motor carrier inspection.
The northbound section of the highway was shut down for about an hour while crews worked to clear the scene.
State Police were assisted by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, Dover Police Department, Troop G of #NHSP, and Rochester Truck.
