Berlin man sentenced for felony drug sales

CONCORD — Attorney General John M. Formella announced today that Travis Hood, a 30-year-old Berlin resident, has been sentenced to 5 to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to three felony counts of selling a controlled drug in Coos County Superior Court.

Hood’s sentence will run concurrently with a 15 to 30 year sentence he is already serving from a related charge in Merrimack County Superior Court.

The court found that Hood sold fentanyl in amounts exceeding 5 grams to a confidential informant on three occasions in February.

The successful prosecution was the result of a joint effort by the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, the U.S.

Drug Enforcement Administration, and the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Drug Task Force.
