NEW MILFORD — A local man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a sexual assault of a minor that reportedly occurred in late March.
Daniel Restituto Valerio, 51, was taken into custody by warrant at the New Milford Police Department following an investigation into a complaint made about an incident on March 30.
Valerio faces multiple charges, including Sexual Assault in the Fourth Degree, under Connecticut General Statute 53a-73(a)(2), and two counts of Injury or Risk of Injury To, or Impairing the Morals of Children, as per Connecticut General Statute 53-21(a)(2).
Following his arrest, Valerio was released on a $35,000 bond set by the court.
He is expected to appear in Torrington Superior Court later the same day.
