MILFORD — A Milford man was charged with operating under the influence after his vehicle struck a vacant building on Main Road late Thursday night, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the scene around 11:56 p.m. following a call to the Penobscot Regional Communication Center about the crash.
Upon arrival, they found that Wayne Feero, 52, had failed to make a turn and collided with the structure.
Feero was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries sustained in the incident.
An investigation by the deputies determined that alcohol played a role in the crash, leading to Feero’s charge with a Class D misdemeanor for Operating Under the Influence.
The Sheriff’s Office acknowledged the assistance of Milford Fire and Rescue and Versant Power in responding to the crash.
Feero’s court date has yet to be announced.
