MANCHESTER — A local man was arrested after causing a disturbance at a Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) branch, state police said Wednesday.
Jesus Guifarro, 43, of Manchester, was taken into custody earlier today by members of the Troop G Investigations Unit on a charge of disorderly conduct.
The arrest occurred without incident.
According to investigators, Guifarro became irate and unruly toward DMV employees on Thursday while trying to obtain a New Hampshire non-driver identification card.
He reportedly refused to leave the building after being asked multiple times and his behavior escalated to the point where DMV staff felt compelled to call law enforcement.
In addition to the disorderly conduct charge, Guifarro had an outstanding arrest warrant from Rockingham County Superior Court.
He is being held without bail and is scheduled for arraignment on Monday at 8:15 a.m.
