WORCESTER — Worcester Police detectives are investigating a stabbing that occurred on Chandler St on May 2, at approximately 3:35 p.m., according to police reports.
Officers were dispatched to the area of lower Chandler St following a report of an assault with a dangerous weapon.
Upon their arrival, they were directed by witnesses to a male victim who had been stabbed and was lying on the sidewalk.
The first officer on the scene provided medical assistance until the victim was taken to a local hospital by ambulance.
Detectives are now conducting a follow-up investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the stabbing.
The victim’s condition has not been disclosed, and no arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
Authorities are asking anyone with information related to the incident to come forward to assist in the investigation.
