DARTMOUTH — Dartmouth detectives, supported by state and Fairhaven police, arrested a local man on drug trafficking charges after a raid on Thursday.
At 12:40 p.m., officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Gibson Terrace.
They discovered 55 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 50 grams of suspected powder cocaine, a digital scale, and seized $1,255 in cash.
Nicholas Azeredo, 40, of Dartmouth, faces charges for trafficking cocaine over 100 grams and possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance.
This is not Azeredo’s first offense.
Also arrested at the scene were Edmund Melo, 30, and Joshua Bagao, 48, both from New Bedford, due to outstanding warrants.
Detective Matthew Correia led the investigation, which spanned several weeks, with the Dartmouth Police Community Impact Unit’s assistance.
