READING — Reading Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in the theft of four new iPhone 14s, which were taken from a High Street residence on May 1.

According to the victim, a delivery notification was received at 1:13 p.m., indicating that a FedEx package had been delivered.

However, footage from a neighboring home’s security camera shows that at 1:22 p.m., a dark blue SUV, potentially an older model Toyota RAV-4, arrived at the scene.

A male individual was seen exiting the SUV, approaching the front porch with a package in hand, and then taking the box containing the iPhones before departing in the vehicle.

The Reading Police Department has released a photo of the suspect and the vehicle in hopes that community members might recognize either.

Authorities are urging anyone with additional security footage or information regarding the suspect or vehicle, particularly those in the High Street and Mineral Street vicinity, to contact the Reading Police at 781-944-1212.
