EAST WINDSOR — A 14-year-old boy who was reported missing earlier today has been found safe, according to East Windsor Police Department.
At 5:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a missing child, Nicholas Difusco, who had left his home in the Warehouse Point area around 1 p.m. and had not returned.
Nicholas, described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 114 pounds, was last seen wearing navy blue pants, a navy blue t-shirt with a shark on it, a slate blue zip-up hoodie, glasses, and navy blue sneakers.
He was also carrying a green camouflage backpack.
Community members were asked to share information and be on the lookout for Nicholas, and the police department provided a contact number for any leads.
After several hours, an update was issued by the police department thanking the public for their shares and assistance, announcing that Nicholas had been located and was safe.
The circumstances of Nicholas’s disappearance and how he was found were not immediately disclosed by authorities.
The East Windsor Police Department expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the search effort and reminded residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or concerns to the department at 860-292-8240.
