Power outage in Randolph

1 min read

RANDOLPH — A significant power outage has left much of the northeast side of Randolph in the dark after a motor vehicle accident early Monday morning resulted in a downed utility pole.

The Randolph Police Department announced that the outage affects areas from North Street up to Pond Street, including Pacella Park Drive and surrounding neighborhoods.

National Grid technicians are on-site addressing the issue, but as of the 10:15 a.m. update, there was no estimated time for when electricity would be restored to the affected residents.

In addition to the power outage, Oak Street will remain closed between Cedar Avenue and Mcdevitt Road as cleanup and repair efforts are underway.

Motorists are advised to find alternative routes to avoid the area.

Police urge the public to exercise caution when navigating through the affected regions and to stay away from any downed power lines.

Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
