NASHUA — A 51-year-old man was arrested Saturday on a felony warrant, facing several charges including theft and drug possession, Nashua police said.
Stephane Webster was charged with one count of theft by unauthorized taking with two prior convictions, a Class B felony, one count of possession of a controlled drug as a subsequent offense, a Class A felony, and two counts of resisting arrest or detention, Class A misdemeanors.
The arrest stemmed from a Feb. 24 incident when officers were called to a theft at Macy’s at 310 Daniel Webster Highway.
The Criminal Investigation Division identified Webster as the suspect through further investigation, discovering he had previous theft-related convictions.
An arrest warrant was subsequently issued.
During the arrest, Webster resisted officers executing the warrant but was eventually taken into custody without any officers being injured.
Illicit drugs were found in his possession during the arrest.
Webster was held on $500 cash bail pending his arraignment at the 9th Circuit – District Division – Nashua Court scheduled for April 30 at 1 p.m.
