Manchester man arrested for bank forgery in Nashua

NASHUA — A Manchester man has been arrested on charges of forgery and theft by deception after allegedly cashing a forged check in Nashua, authorities said Monday.

Sean Desio, 31, was taken into custody by detectives from the Nashua Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division on April 29 on a felony warrant for Theft by Deception – Class A Felony.

The investigation, which began in January, focused on a forged check cashed at St Mary’s Bank in December.

Detectives determined that Desio was responsible for depositing the check and unlawfully obtaining over $1,500.

Upon his arrest, Desio, who was already in custody on unrelated charges, was also charged with Forgery, a Class B Felony.

He is scheduled to be arraigned at the 9th Circuit District Court in Nashua on a later date.
