South Windsor police make multiple arrests over weekend

SOUTH WINDSOR — Three individuals were arrested in separate incidents over the past weekend by the South Windsor Police Department, including charges of larceny, operating under the influence, and risk of injury to a child.

On April 26, just after 10 a.m., police arrested Jesse Emerson, 38, of Berlin on an active arrest warrant for a larceny that occurred in December.

Emerson is accused of stealing approximately $755 worth of merchandise from Lowes at 31 Buckland Hills Drive.

He was processed at Manchester Superior Court on April 26.

Later that evening, at approximately 9:41 p.m., Dwight L. Murphy, 60, of Windsor, was arrested after he was spotted driving the wrong way on Route 5.

An officer on patrol observed Murphy’s vehicle exiting Chapel Road and traveling southbound in the northbound lanes.

Murphy failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond, with a court date set for May 13 at 9 a.m.
