PROVIDENCE — A series of motor vehicle stops led to multiple arrests by Rhode Island State Troopers, including charges ranging from domestic violence to drug possession, according to officials on Sunday.
At 10:48 p.m., Troopers apprehended Alexi A. Telemin De Jesus, 34, of Providence, on a warrant for Domestic Violence – Simple Assault from the Providence Police Department.
The arrest occurred on Bucklin Street and De Jesus was processed at the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks before being transferred to the Providence Police Department.
Shortly after midnight, at 12:05 a.m., Ebby Garcia, 56, also of Providence, was arrested on a bench warrant for failing to appear for arraignment on a charge of Driving with a Suspended License – 4th or Subsequent Offense, issued by the Warwick Police Department.
Garcia’s arrest followed a stop on Cranston Street and he was later taken to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.
By 1 a.m., Miguel Rose, 22, of Providence, faced obstruction charges after being stopped on Hope Street.
Rose was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned, and subsequently released.
Rebecca Bielecki, 39, of East Providence, was taken into custody at 4:03 a.m. on multiple warrants, including one for Shoplifting and another for Felony Assault and/or Battery.
Her arrest on Potters Avenue in Providence led to her being processed and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Women’s Intake Center.
Nicholas S. Costa, 37, of Woonsocket, faced the most charges of the night following a 3:29 a.m. stop on Paul Street in the town of Lincoln.
Costa’s charges include Reckless Driving, DUI, drug possession, vandalism, destruction of state property, obstructing a police officer, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and driving after suspension of license, all second or subsequent offenses.
Costa was held overnight as a probation violator at the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks.
