GREENBUSH — Several individuals were arrested on drug charges following a search warrant executed by the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office on Friday afternoon.
The Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team and Criminal Investigation Division conducted the warrant at a residence located at 1098 Main Road around 5 p.m. After securing the property, law enforcement detained multiple subjects and conducted an extensive search.
The operation led to the discovery of a significant quantity of suspected drugs and evidence indicative of drug trafficking.
Monte Smith, 59, of Greenbush, was taken into custody later that evening and faces charges of Aggravated Trafficking of Scheduled Drugs, a Class A felony.
Shane Howe, 39, also from Greenbush, was charged with Trafficking of Scheduled Drugs, a Class B felony.
Andrea Carlow, 33, of Greenbush and Millinocket, was arrested on the same charge in addition to an active felony arrest warrant.
The three individuals were transported to the Penobscot County Jail as a result of the operation.
Sheriff Troy Morton has stated that this is an ongoing criminal investigation, and no additional information is available at this time.
