NASHUA — A second-alarm fire that broke out at a building on 26 B Cross Street resulted in one fatality and left another person with serious injuries, New Hampshire State Fire Marshal Toomey reported.
During the response, crews discovered one individual trapped inside the building.
Despite efforts to rescue the victim, one fatality was confirmed by officials.
Another person suffered burn-related injuries and was quickly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The extent of the injuries and the condition of the hospitalized individual have not been disclosed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, and more details are expected as the inquiry progresses.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims.
