NEWPORT — Twins Eden and Claire Gray have been honored with the 2024 Glenn Bonin Memorial Lifetime Hunting Licenses, a tribute to the twins’ potential as responsible and skilled hunters, and a nod to their family’s close connection with the late Glenn Bonin.
Organizers said their mom and dad, Drew and Rachelle Gray, were friends with Glenn and he would have been honored to watch them grow into responsible and successful hunters.
Glenn Bonin, remembered as an exceptional and passionate hunter, left a legacy of promoting hunting ethics, safety, and respect for wildlife and their habitats.
Known for his high level of expertise and dedication to the sport, Bonin was a cherished figure among his peers and took great joy in mentoring young hunters.
This memorial, established in Bonin’s memory, traditionally awards a Vermont Lifetime Hunting membership to one youth from the Northeast Kingdom each year.
This year, in a unique circumstance, the award celebrated twins, marking a special addition to the NEK hunting community.
