SPRINGFIELD — A woman was arrested Monday on charges of domestic assault and for an outstanding warrant, according to the Springfield Police Department.
Authorities responded to a call at noon about an incident involving a dark blue Honda on Fairground Road.
The male victim, who sustained visible injuries, had informed a witness that he intended to report the altercation to the police.
Upon arrival at the department, officers conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of Gabrielle Williams for allegedly assaulting the victim.
Williams was processed, which included fingerprinting and photographing, and was released with conditions and a citation to appear in Windsor Superior Court on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m.
She is also being held at the Southern State Correctional Facility on $500 bail for the in-state warrant.
