HAMDEN — The Hamden Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting that occurred on April 20 in the area of Helen Street and Langer Street.
According to authorities, police received multiple calls around 6:45 a.m. reporting gunfire.
Upon arrival, officers found at least five shell casings on Helen Street.
While investigating the initial shooting, officers heard additional gunfire south of their location.
Police are currently canvassing the area for the second shooting scene.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Residents are urged to stay clear of the area and report any suspicious activity to the Hamden Police Department.
