BARTON — A local man was apprehended Wednesday morning on an outstanding arrest warrant from New Hampshire, according to Vermont State Police.
Dale Carpenter, 48, of Barton, was taken into custody on Breezy Hill Road at approximately 9:37 a.m. after authorities received a tip about a wanted person in the area.
An investigation revealed that Carpenter was sought for a probation violation related to a burglary charge.
Following his arrest by the Derby Barracks officers, Carpenter was processed at the station.
Carpenter is being held at the Northern State Correctional Facility with bail set at $5,000, awaiting extradition to New Hampshire to face charges.
