CLARENDON — A 30-year-old Clarendon woman was arrested for driving under the influence after her car rolled down a hill following a crash on Alfrecha Road near Creek Road, state police said.

Sara Daley was traveling east when her 2021 Subaru Forester exited the roadway and struck a guardrail at about 10:04 p.m. on April 17, according to the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks.

The vehicle was totaled, but no injuries were reported.

Troopers responding to the incident observed signs of impairment in Daley’s behavior.

After failing to maintain her lane, a violation under Title 23 VSA 1038 Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic, Daley was arrested and taken to the state police barracks for processing.

Daley, who was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash, was later released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Rutland Division.

The road conditions were dry and the weather clear at the time of the accident.
