SEARSBURG — An investigation into a suspicious complaint on Vermont Route 9 led to the arrest of a Bennington man on April 13.
Vermont State Police troopers discovered that Leon Lovelace, 28, had an active extraditable warrant from New York during their inquiry.
Upon confirmation with New York State Police, Lovelace was arrested on a Fugitive From Justice charge.
After being processed at the Shaftsbury Barracks, Lovelace was held at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 bail.
