Worcester police arrest two in drug trafficking bust

WORCESTER — Two men were arrested Tuesday on charges of trafficking fentanyl and cocaine after Worcester Police Department’s Vice Squad and officers executed search warrants, the department announced.

Daniel Brito-Alcantara, 28, and Haidan Jesus Segura, 19, were taken into custody after being observed leaving an apartment on Ashmont Avenue, which was under police surveillance.

Prior to the search, both suspects were detained.

During the search of the apartment, officers found 106.4 grams of cocaine and 32.6 grams of fentanyl.

The drugs were distributed throughout various rooms along with items suggesting they were involved in drug distribution.

Brito-Alcantara and Segura were arrested without incident and are facing charges including Trafficking Class B 100-200 Grams, Trafficking Fentanyl Over 10 Grams, and Trafficking Class A 18-36 grams.
