RYEGATE — Vermont State Police responded to an assault report at a Ryegate residence on March 8, at approximately 6:03 p.m., where a 14-year-old from West Topsham was allegedly assaulted by a local man.
According to authorities, Travis Boisvert, 32, of Ryegate, assaulted the juvenile inside the residence.
Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks conducted an investigation and met with Boisvert on April 6, subsequently issuing him a citation to appear in Caledonia County Criminal Court on charges of Simple Assault.
The court date for Boisvert has been set, where he will be expected to answer to the charges brought against him.
Further details regarding the incident have not been disclosed as the investigation is ongoing and the victim is a minor.
