BELMONT — The New Hampshire State Police – Marine Patrol has enacted a No Wake Order for Silver Lake, effective immediately, to help maintain safety and prevent property damage due to high water levels.
The directive comes under NH RSA 270:132 and will remain in place until water levels recede to below 467.0 feet above sea level.
The Marine Patrol will use readings from the Department of Environmental Services’ gauge at the Silver Lake Station to determine when the order can be lifted.
Boaters are advised to monitor their wake closely and exercise caution, particularly when navigating channels or operating near the shoreline, to avoid causing harm or damage.
The Marine Patrol emphasizes the importance of this order and seeks the cooperation of all boaters on Silver Lake and across the state to ensure water safety for everyone.
