DUMMERSTON — A single-vehicle crash on Interstate 91 led to the arrest of a New Hampshire man for driving under the influence of drugs late last night.
Vermont State Police responded to the incident at mile marker 15.4 at approximately 10:54 p.m. where they found a vehicle that had crashed on the northbound side of the highway in the Windham County town.
Matthew J. Urban, 46, of Marlborough, New Hampshire, was identified as the operator of the vehicle.
Troopers provided first aid before Urban was transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
Following an investigation, police determined that Urban was under the influence of drugs at the time of the accident.
He was arrested on suspicion of DUI and released with a criminal citation.
Urban is scheduled to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on May 21 at 8:30 a.m. to respond to the charge.
