AMESBURY — An elderly man reported missing from Amesbury has been found safe in Wayland by local police, officials announced Tuesday night.
Thomas Huppuch, 74, left his home in Amesbury in a 2018 silver Ford Eco-Sport, with the license plate number 4EPR58, and was last seen around 6:05 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Rt. 90 West and Rt. 495.
The Amesbury Police Department issued an urgent missing person alert, describing Huppuch as endangered and vulnerable.
Authorities urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to call 911 immediately.
The search came to a successful conclusion at 8:50 p.m. when Wayland officers located Huppuch unharmed.
