HAMPDEN — Hampden Public Safety officials confirmed the safe location of 15-year-old Mackenzie Grant, following an earlier appeal to the public for assistance in finding the missing teenager.
Grant, who was last seen wearing a black t-shirt featuring the band “Korn” and black leggings, had been the subject of a search by local authorities.
Concerned for her wellbeing, Hampden Public Safety issued a request for any information regarding her whereabouts and urged the community to contact Officer Josh Staples at 207-862-4000 with any potential leads.
The details surrounding Grant’s disappearance and how she was found have not been released.
In a brief update, officials simply stated, “We have located Mackenzie, thank you,” signaling an end to the search and relief for the community and her family.
Officer Staples and the Hampden Public Safety department have not provided further comments on the case at this time.
